The feeling of success is often difficult to achieve when studying Shakespeare but this workshop helped students to experience positive feelings. It thus changed their attitude to a very challenging subject. They had fun and finally understood Shakespeare’s language, intentions and attitude.

The workshop was fantastic! The students gained valuable knowledge and skills in how to approach Shakespeare. The students also learned how to approach Shakespeare from an actor’s point of view. The activities and role-playing was both fun for the students as well as being educational.

The workshop was fantastic! Marvin is a dynamic facilitator and worked extremely well… The most notable thing about the session was the involvement of a student who often is not engaged in the activities of the class. Marvin’s interactive sessions will have been the most effective, exciting and involving activity this students has participated in this year.

A student wrote: “When I read Shakespeare I try to decode every word and analyze it but I don’t understand. When I read from the actor’s point of view I fully understand what was trying to be displayed. When I go home to study for the test, I’m going to use the points they gave us.”
